Govt Distributes COVID-19 Protective Gears to Critical Regions

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian armed forces (TNI) has reportedly distributed 100,000 medical protective gear to prioritized regions with several of them already sent to the Jakarta City Hall as of Sunday.
“According to reports from the COVID-19 task force there were 40,000 sets of protective gears sent To Jakarta’s city hall that was escorted by the Kodam Jaya military command on Sunday, March 22,” said the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) central data and information head Agus Wibowo on Monday’s press release.
Meanwhile, 25,000 medical protective gears have been flown from Bandung and distributed to COVID-19 hard-hit regions in Semarang, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, and Bali as of today. Another 25,000 were distributed to West Java, Bogor, and Banten.
”Meanwhile, the remaining 10,000 medical protective gears are kept as a backup,” Agus wrote.
