TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo, has reminded the Indonesian people to follow the COVID-19 prevention protocol diligently. "Do not hesitate to scold those who do not keep their distance," Jokowi said at the State Palace on Friday, March 20, 2020.
The government, said Jokowi, has prepared medicines to deal with COVID-19. "The medicines are from research results and the experience from a number of countries that have handled COVID-19," said Jokowi.
Jokowi has asked state-owned pharmaceutical enterprises to produce the medicine in large quantities, which will be accessible to patients through doctors who travel door-to-door, health centers, and hospitals.
In addition, Jokowi went on to say that the government has prepared a number of locations for isolation, such as the Kemayoran, Sebaru and Gayang Island Athlete Dormitory, set to be in operation by Saturday, March 21, 2020.
