TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Coordinating Minister of Maritime Affairs and Investments Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan revealed that Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi, who has transmitted COVID-19, is currently in a stable condition and shows signs of improvement.

“There are minor issues but we will know the results after three days,” said Luhut in a live broadcast on Wednesday, March 18.

He said that he continues to communicate with the team of doctors who personally handle Budi Karya at the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital (RSPAD Gatot Subroto) and is constantly updated about the minister’s condition.

The announcement of Budi Karya’s status as a coronavirus patient was made on Saturday, March 14, by the State Secretary Pratikno.

Prior to contracting the plague, the Transportation Minister attended the arrival of Diamond Princess crew members and also attended the bilateral meeting with delegates from the Netherlands at the State Palace on March 11.

The latest update on Indonesia’s coronavirus cases grew to 227 people with 19 deaths and 11 recoveries.
