TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Coronavirus (COVID-19) patients, Case 01, Case 02, and Case 03 are officially declared cured of the virus in a press conference on Monday night, March 15, at the Sulianti Saroso Infectious Diseases Hospital (RSPI Sulianti Saroso).

The three patients were introduced by Health Minister Terawan Agus Putranto who declared them cured and have officially been discharged from the hospital.

In the press conference, the patient of Case 01 encouraged the public to support those who are currently still battling the virus and avert them from public judgments or pressure, which includes spreading private information without consent.

Case 01 recalled the horrible experience she felt as her personal information spread publicly after she was declared Indonesia’s first coronavirus patient. She said the sudden exposure affected her family and her profession as a dancer.

“For those outsiders, don’t prejudge patients who tested positive for the COVID-19 with negative stigma as such move only makes patients fall victim for a second time,” she said.

Moreover, Case 03 reminded the public to remain alert and cautious in facing the coronavirus outbreak but at the same time also avoid panicking. The person also advised people to follow the health officials’ instructions.

“Listen to the government’s advice, if you are asked to commit to social distancing then practice it the best you can. Constantly consume water and have enough rest,” said Case 03.

The three patients initially contracted coronavirus after exposure to a Japanese national which marked Indonesia’s first COVID-19 infection.
