TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The preparation for Formula E racing in the Monas area is still ongoing, according to Jakarta E-Prix committees, despite President Joko Widodo has officially announced coronavirus case in Indonesia.

The Deputy Director of Communications of the Formula E Organizing Committee, Hilbram Dunar, is still waiting for official decisions from Formula E Operations (FEO) and the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA).

Before any other decision is taken, he went on, the preparations for the circuit will still be carried out according to plan, "We still talk with FEO," Hilbram told Tempo, Tuesday, March 3, 2020.

The electric car racing is scheduled to be held on June 6, 2020, and the National Monument (Monas) area in Jakarta will be transformed into the racing circuit.

During the preparations, Hilbram said that his side continues to coordinate with the government, including the Ministry of Health.
