TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Budget airline AirAsia is offering discounts for domestic and international routes. The low-cost carrier is cutting ticket prices down to 30 percent.

AirAsia Indonesia president director Veranita Yosephine Sinaga said the lowered prices are valid for travel periods between February 24 and September 30, 2020. The promotion, she said, is the airline's way of re-encouraging the public to travel amid declining.

"We are pleased to bring added value through the one-stop travel shop concept. This way, flights to various favorite destinations, vacation activities, hotels, and other lifedata-style needs can be enjoyed at affordable prices," she said as published on AirAsia's website, Friday, February 21.

The discounts are valid for domestic flights to Medan, Belitung, Semarang, Sorong, Lombok, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Bali and Labuan Bajo.

For international routes, the discounted tickets are available for flights from Indonesia to Southeast Asian destinations including Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and Bangkok, among others. For departures from Kuala Lumpur, The budget airline offers discounted trips to Sydney, Seoul, Fukuoka, as well as other popular destinations. The discount also applies to the premium flatbed class.

To make the travels even more affordable, AirAsia is also lowering its baggage fees by 22 percent for up to 30 kilograms.
