TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts the potential for rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds in a short duration in the Jakarta area. In particular, rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds will occur in South Jakarta and East Jakarta on Wednesday afternoon and evening, February 19, 2020.
Furthermore, BMKG predicts that during the day there will be local rain in West Jakarta. Whereas Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands will be shrouded in clouds.
Weather conditions will begin to change around night time. The regions of West Jakarta and Central Jakarta will be showered by rain in a light intensity. South Jakarta and East Jakarta will have thunderstorms, North Jakarta heavy rain, and the Thousand Islands rain with moderate intensity.
With such weather conditions, BMKG estimates temperatures in Jakarta to range between 24-32 degrees celsius with an average humidity level of 80-100 percent.
