TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Health Ministry’s director-general of disease control and prevention, Anung Sugihantono, claims the condition of 285 Indonesians currently quarantined at the Natuna facility is in a healthy condition.

They are Indonesians who were evacuated from China’s province of Wuhan on Sunday, February 2, due to coronavirus outbreak. Anung himself is temporarily stationed together with the quarantined people to maintain a close observation.

“All of our people [in the quarantine facility] cheerfully participates in activities,” said Anung in a teleconference at the Health Ministry’s headquarters on Wednesday, Feb. 5.

He added that the people in the quarantines showed exceptional appetites which prove that their health is not affected by the Wuhan novel coronavirus.

The 285 people that are under observation in the Natuna facility include 238 evacuated Indonesians from Wuhan; five foreign affairs ministry’s personnel; 18 Batik Air personnel; and 24 people joined in the Wuhan coronavirus evacuation team.
