TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Trade Minister Agus Suparmanto channeled aid in the form of food and sleeping mattresses for flood victims in Pondok Gede Permai in Bekasi. A total of four trucks of aid were delivered.

Three of the trucks were loaded with mattresses and another truck was loaded with 150 boxes of mineral water, 100 boxes of biscuits, 500 boxes of instant noodles, and 1,000 packages of bread.

We will identify the shortages, later we will immediately channel the needs," Agus said at the National Disaster Mitigation Agency warehouse in Bekasi on Friday, January 3, 2020.

According to Agus, the flood victims still needs many things, such as tools to clean the houses. "The delivery will be coordinated with local authorities and the BPBD," Agus said.

Agus asserted that the flood that occurred recently was worse compared to previous occurrences with more than five meters of water flooding the area. As an indicator, Agus said that residents located on the second story of their houses were flooded up to their waist.

"This is terrible, not like the past two or four years," Agus added.
