SBY Mentions Sri Mulyani on Jiwasraya Financial Crisis

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Sixth Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono or SBY has spoken up about the state-owned insurance company Jiwasraya, that was allegedly facing troubles since the term of his office.
On December 26 before his guests, Yudhoyono let people blame the past for the corporate’s financial crisis. Moreover, if there is no one willing to take it.
"At that meeting, a guest mentioned that the case would possibly be linked to the previous government of 2006 back when SBY served as President," as quoted from Ossy Dermawan, Yudhoyono’s personal assistant, through his Twitter account on Friday, December 27.
Ossy said that Yudhoyono responded to the allegation calmly. The public, Yudhoyono added, has just acknowledged the crisis for the past two years.
“If there is no one willing to take the responsibility for this, go on then, blame it to [the government in] 2006. The officials are still here, including me, VP Jusuf Kalla, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani, SOE Minister, and others. But they should not be blamed,” said Yudhoyono as tweeted by Ossy.
Previously, President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo said that Jiwasraya had been troubled for the past ten years. He claimed he had known the issue since three years ago. However, he opined that the problem incurred by the insurance firm was difficult to be settled.
