TEMPO.CO, Makassar - A janitor, Haris, 36, discovered two active pineapple-type grenades around the public gas station (SPBU) of Bungoro District, Pangkep Regency, on Wednesday, November 13. The grenades were found together with two units of tear gas.

“When the janitor was cleaning, he found the grenades in a black plastic bag,” said Bungoro Sector Police Chief Adj. Comr. Hari Suwita.

According to Hari, the janitor was listed as a worker from the regency's Sanitation Office. Haris immediately reported to the officers in duty at the SPBU after finding the explosive units.

"We then took the grenade to Pangkep Police warehouse."

Police are still investigating and searching for the owner of the grenade. The police chief also could not confirm yet whether it would be detonated or placed there to frighten the public. "We are still questioning a number of witnesses."
