Wishnutama: Tourism and Creative Economy a Strong Combination

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Tourism and Creative Economy Minister, Wishnutama Kusubandio revealed the basic argument behind the merger of the tourism ministry and the creative economy board.
He said that the two combined will help ease the process of reaching the goal of the two separate ministries had prior to the unification.
Wishnutama argues that the tourism sector will be able to run stronger as the creative field will be able to support the tourism sector, and vice versa.
“The merger will push the ministry to be more coordinative and optimize its executions,” said Wishnutama in Jakarta on Tuesday.
He asserted that the two sectors will support each other without abandoning any of the two.
The existence of a deputy minister, he said, assures that the entire program planned will be realized as he maintains that he commits to boosting the tourism sector which is considered to be the largest income generator.
