TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A volunteer for former presidential and VP candidates Prabowo Subianto - Sandiaga Uno, Lieus Sungkharisma said that he is able to accept the fact that the opposition father-figure he backed throughout the election has now entered President Jokowi’s Cabinet.

Lieus said that his talks with fellow volunteer, politician, and currently-jailed Ahmad Dhani, has decided to take the role of escorting how the government functions, especially Prabowo as Defense Minister.

“Well, as supporters for Prabowo, we will start from zero again. We will escort the course of the new government,” said Lieus as he visited Ahmad Dhani at the Cipinang Detention Center in East Jakarta on Monday.

He maintains that being sidelined will not automatically make him and other volunteers comply with the government in power. Lieus asserts that Prabowo volunteers will constantly present constructive criticism towards the government.

“Well, what else can we do? I told my fellow volunteers, ‘Prabowo is our boss and that he has now entered the government’,” said Lieus.
