TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo has reportedly ordered the Coordinating Minister of Politics, Law, and Security Affairs Mahfud MD to accommodate Indonesian State Ministers regarding radicalism prevention.
"I have handed it to the coordinating minister to coordinate the matter," said the president in Jakarta today, October 31.
Furthermore, President Joko Widodo once mentioned a plan to replace the term "radicalism" to something else.
"I don't know if there is another word that we can use to describe it. Maybe something like 'religious manipulator'," said the president.
Radicalism has been the president's center of attention as he had summoned state ministers regarding this issue several months back.
The President had also ordered Mahfud MD to run a de-radicalization program. Another State Minister receiving the president's mandate on radicalism prevention is Religious Affairs Minister Fachrul Razi.
