TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Gerindra chief patron Prabowo Subianto is meeting with President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo ahead of the announcement of the latter’s second-term cabinet ministers. Prabowo arrived at the Presidential Palace at 04:15 p.m.
Prabowo arrived with his party’s deputy head, Edhy Prabowo. Both donned long-sleeve white shirts.
The outfits were the same as those worn by a number of figures who claimed to have been offered a ministerial seat by the President. Prabowo and Edhy entered the palace through the guest entrance, just like other figures.
Nothing came out from Prabowo and Edhy for the press upon their arrival. The two kept walking to the palace complex.
Previously, Jokowi announced that Prabowo, who was his political rival in the 2019 presidential election, would join his coalition.
