Jokowi - Ma'ruf Welcomed by Hundreds of Supporters at Palace

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin arrived at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at 17:58.
Jokowi and Ma'ruf Amin were welcomed by more than 400 people and supporters who had gathered since noon and watched the inauguration of the President and Vice President together.
When crossing Jalan Merdeka Barat, Jokowi was greeted by cheers from the supporters while raising the red and white flag. The supporters also sang the song Bagimu Negeri ( For You, Oh My Country).
Meidya Amora, one of Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin supporters explained that the event was held to accommodate the people's euphoria over the inauguration of President Jokowi and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin.
"We love him [Jokowi]. He's just an ordinary person, but we he could win our hearts. Real proof and contribution are there, but it is still not perfect, so we give it five more years. This is for the future of the nation's children," she said.
