TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will announce the names of cabinet ministers for his second term in office on Monday morning.

"(The list) is finished. I will introduce (the ministers) tomorrow morning," he said in Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Sunday.

Jokowi made the statement moments before he departed to the parliament building to attend the swearing-in ceremony along with Ma'ruf Amin as President and Vice President of Indonesia for the 2019-2024 term.

"I will introduce them tomorrow morning. This afternoon, Mr. Ma'ruf Amin will head to Japan to attend the enthronement of the Japanese Emperor," he added.

However, he has yet to confirm whether the ministers will be immediately inaugurated afterwards.

"I will introduce them first, and then they will be inaugurated. They must be inaugurated after I introduce them," he said.

He had said earlier that he would have 34 ministers in his second-term cabinet line-up. "Around sixteen (come from political parties)," he said.

He did not specify on the members of his first-term cabinet line-up that would continue in his second leadership term but he said that there would be more new names in the formation.

In his official social media account, he revealed that the formation of the upcoming cabinet line-up has been completed.

The new cabinet members are hoped to strengthen institutions in charge of investments and can attract investors in to Indonesia, as well as create added values to Indonesia. He highlighted that such investments should not only exploit the country, but also bring values and benefits. The ministers are hoped to have managerial skills and the ability to execute programs.
