TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo declares that he has completely finalized the formation of his second-term Working Cabinet. He calls on the public to patiently wait for the official announcement.

“What clear is the structure of the cabinet for the upcoming administration has been finalized. I will announce it soon after the inauguration of President and Vice President for the 2019-2024 term on October 20. It can be on the same day or days after,” the President made the statement on his official Instagram account, Thursday, Oct. 17.

According to him, his ministers will hail from a variety of backgrounds. They are competent people and ready to serve the country, the President added.

“They come from all fields of work and profession, be it academicians, bureaucrats, politicians, as well as military and police. It is not hard to find them,” said the former governor of Jakarta.

He admits to having read several versions of names who will reportedly clinch ministerial seats circulated in public to ensure whether his ministers’ formation is leaked or not.

“I read it enthusiastically if it [the information] really leaks,” said the President, adding a smiley emoticon after the remark.

The names of ministers for the second Working Cabinet remain a mystery. Tempo Newspaper’s edition of Monday, Oct. 14, reported that President Jokowi would fill his new cabinet with several current ministers.

The names include Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani, Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko, Labor Minister Hanif Dhakiri, Public Works and Housing Minister Basoeki Hadimoeljono, and Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi.
