TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Wiranto was attacked in Labuan, Banten, today, October 10. Wiranto's staff said the minister was stabbed, but his wound is not severe.
"He was attacked in Pandeglang. He was stabbed in the abdomen," Wiranto's staff Agus Zaini told Tempo, Thursday.
Agus said that the former ABRI commander is not severely wounded. He was immediately taken to the nearest hospital to receive treatment.
However, Agus had not received a detailed report about which hospital Wiranto was taken to, knowing only that it is located in Pandeglang.
If possible, Agus said, Wiranto will be transferred to a hospital in Jakarta, "perhaps the RSPAD."
Wiranto was attacked by an unknown man when he was visiting the Mathla'ul Anwar Islamic Boarding School in Labuan, Banten, today. Photos circulating online showed Wiranto was attacked by a man wearing white trousers. He attacked the minister next to his car.
The man could be seen holding a short sharp object that looks like a knife.
