BJ Habibie Passes Away

TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - The third Indonesian President Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie or also known BJ Habibie has passed away today afternoon, September 11, in Gatot Soebroto Army Hospital (RSPAD), Jakarta. He was 83 years old.
News about Habibie’s passing is announced by his second son Thareq Kemal Habibie. Thareq said the presidential medical team has well treated his father so far.
One of the Habibie's granddaughters Melanie Subono also posts the information through her Instagram account.
The man who was born in Parepare, South Sulawesi, on June 25, 1936, left two sons, Ilham Akbar Habibie and Thareq Kemal Habibie. In the past several days, he was under medical treatment in the hospital due to declining health.
President Joko “Jokowi ” Widodo is reportedly on the way to the hospital.
