TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The rupiah remains week two days after the massive power outage in Java caused heavy damages to the business sector. On Tuesday morning, the rupiah was traded for 14,344 per US dollar at the spot market.

Bank Indonesia (BI) published that the Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate (Jisdor) fell 113bps or 0.79 percent from Monday's Rp14,231/US$.

Meanwhile, Bloomberg showed the rupiah's spot position down 0.45 percent to trade for 14,319 per US dollar.

On Monday, the rupiah lost 70 bps, closing at Rp14,255 per dollar.

The Indonesian currency was unable to take advantage of the weakening dollar index, which showed the greenback corrected by 0.12 percent.
