TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Transportasi Jakarta or Transjakarta imposes regular tariff again after the electricity went normal in the early hours of today, August 5, at 03:00. The bus service has operated normally as well.

“Regular tariff is valid as railway transportation such as the MRT and Commuter Line resume normal operation after yesterday’s blackout that lasted until today’s early hours,” said the corporate’s head of secretary and public relations, Nadia Diposanjoyo in a written statement, Monday, August 5.

The regular tariff is set at Rp2,000 for gate tapping-in at 05:01 to 07:00 and Rp3,500 for non-BRT service.

On Sunday afternoon, August 4, the city bus transport offered free seats for all services following the power outage. The city transportation company also dispatched additional modes to cater to train passengers affected by the incident.

Nadia underlined that her corporate continuously supported integrated service of the city public transportation. It even has special routes connecting train stations and MRT stations.

“As it’s known, Transjakarta has become a feeder bus for electric-based train transportation. This is upheld to help the public experience convenience public transportation and so leave their private vehicles at home,” she added.

Other than the bus transportation, PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KCI) and Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) announced that its service has operated normally after affected by major blackout.
