TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The meeting of two important figures, Joko "Jokowi" Widodo and Prabowo, at Jakarta's MRT Lebak Bulus Station today, July 13, did not hamper the operation of the Ratangga train.
The public can enjoy the service as usual with the 10-minute headway. It is known that that was the first time for Prabowo riding on the city's first underground train.
"MRT Jakarta operates and serves the passengers normally," said Corporate Secretary Division Head of MRT Jakarta Muhamad Kamaluddin through a text message on Saturday, July 13.
Earlier today, Jokowi and Prabowo met at the MRT Lebak Bulus station, South Jakarta, and continued the trip to Senayan Station, Central Jakarta. The rivals of 2019 presidential race were sitting side by side and conversed along the journey, based on Tempo's observation.
The meeting created a scene among the passengers as they wished to take pictures with both of state figures but were rejected by the presidential security forces (Paspampres).
Several political figures joined in the meeting include Gerindra Secretary-general Ahmad Muzani, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi, BIN Chief Jenderal Budi Gunawan, and Jokowi-Ma'ruf campaign chairman Erick Thohir.
