Anies Baswedan to Attend World Cities Summit

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said that he would conduct an official visit to Medellin, Colombia on July 9-16 to attend World Cities Summit (WSC) themed Liveable and Sustainable Cities: Building a High Trust City.
“I’ll depart tomorrow’s night, and will return on July 16,” said Anies at the City Hall, Central Jakarta, Monday, July 8.
Anies explained that he was invited to the event and would be a speaker in the second session highlighting the theme of Enhancing Economic and Environmental Security. “[While I’m away] Regional Secretary will take lead,” he added.
As quoted from worldcitiessummit.com, WCS is an annual international conference for governors or mayors and industrial experts to address city challenges, share thoughts and experiences to realize liveable and sustainable cities.
This year’s forum is slated to take place in Medellin City, Colombia. While the next event will be hosted by Singapore.
