TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Fashion label Off-White Jakarta released special collaboration sneakers with Converse on Friday, June 14, dubbed the “OffWhite x Converse” at Plaza Indonesia in Jakarta.

Although the gates were not opened until 10:00 a.m. Western Indonesia Time (WIB), many have started queuing since midnight at 00:05. These people were willing to spend their time in a queue for hours to be granted the opportunity to purchase the Off-White x Converse Chuck 70s valued at Rp2.7 million new.

It is said that this pair of sneakers could be priced up to Rp4.5 million once it is resold outside of the official store.

Social media account @urbansneakersociety announced that the people that have the right to purchase the special edition sneakers are those who basically came first and held a queue card from the store.

Even though they were not the latest model in the company’s lineup—they were released back in October of 2018—collectors did not miss the chance to purchase the items, which were produced in a very limited number. Up to the publishing of this news, Tempo has yet to hear back from Off-White Jakarta on the availability or any official statement of the special edition sneakers.
