TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto had no plan to meet rival Joko Widodo (Jokowi), as he is focusing on a lawsuit challenging the presidential election results, Greater Indonesia Movement (Gerindra) Deputy General Chief Ferry Juliantono stated.

"Prabowo has not yet planned to meet up with Jokowi. There has not been any communication either," he clarified on Saturday.

Juliantono remarked that presidential candidate number 02 Prabowo and his running mate Sandiaga Uno as well as the Prabowo-Sandi National Winning Body (BPN) were yet channeling all their efforts for a lawsuit to challenge the 2019 presidential election results.

The Constitutional Court is expected to deliver a verdict on the election dispute on June 24 this year, Juliantono remarked.

"We have no plan yet to communicate with him," he noted.

Jokowi, on numerous occasions, said he had initiated steps to meet Prabowo after the presidential elections on April 17, 2019.

"I have taken the initiative soon after the polling day," Jokowi had noted in Jakarta on Wednesday (May 22, 2019).

Jokowi admitted to have tasked his confidant Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan to meet Prabowo, but this attempt had proven futile.

The General Election Commission (KPU) had concluded the recounting of ballots of the 2019 simultaneous elections on Tuesday (May 21), a day prior to the initially scheduled May 22.

The KPU had declared the results of all 34 provincial recounts and 130 Overseas Election Committees (PPLN).

The vote count results indicated that the Jokowi-Ma'ruf pair had secured 85,607,362 votes, or 55.50 percent of the total national vote, while the challenger Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno pair had bagged 68,650,239 votes, or 44.50 percent of the total national votes.

The national voter turnout for the 2019 Presidential Election had reached 199,987,870, while 154,257,601 valid votes for the presidential election were recorded.
