TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Spokesman for the country’s conservative Islamic group 212 alumni brotherhood (PA 212) Novel Bamukmin claims their upcoming mass-rally dubbed “Ifthor Akbar 212” will be led by presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto.

This rally plans to be held on May 21-22 will occupy the front of the General Elections Commission (KPU) headquarters.

“[Prabowo’s] people will participate, while he, himself will lead the rally,” said Novel Bamukmin on Friday, May 17.

Asked about the number of participants, Novel is yet able to provide a number but assures that there will be many from Prabowo – Sandiaga Uno coalition party members and their campaign team BPN.

According to Novel, the Ifthor Akbar 212 demands the KPU to cancel announcing the result of the presidential election’s final vote recapitulation.

“Because it can be guaranteed that they will announce the victory of the 01 candidates (Jokowi – Ma’ruf Amin). It is strongly suspected that [that candidate] has systematically rigged the election,” Novel accused.

Tempo is attempting to clarify Novel Bamukmin’s claims to Prabowo Subianto.
