TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Coordinating Minister of Maritime Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan once again talked about the environmental documentary titled "Sexy Killers" and thoroughly denies the allegations made by the moviemaker.

However, Luhut Binsar admitted that he is the majority shareholder of PT Kutai Energi, a company that was mentioned in the documentary.

"Honestly, I have nothing to do with the movie Sexy Killers, I only have connection with one company mentioned, Kutai Energi, which I indeed own 99 percent of its share, But Toba Bara Sejahtera is a public company, I used to have the majority share in that but I sold it around 4 years ago and don’t have shares in that company anymore," said Luhut Binsar at his office on Wednesday, May 8, 2019.

Other than denying ownership of 140,000 hectares of land in Indonesia, Minister Luhut also considered people to be easily influenced by news reports sourced from questionable origins.

"Sexy Killers" is a documentary film showing the links between Indonesian coal and energy companies and the country's political elite. This movie was released online before the 2019 presidential election.

The 86-minute-long documentary produced production house WatchDoc is the last in a 12-part series that follows two Indonesian journalists, Dandhy Laksono and Ucok Suparta, on their travels through 20 provinces since 2015 to investigate environmental issues.
