KPU: 24 Regions have Completed Manual Vote Recapitulation

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - As of April 28, 2019, the General Elections Commission (KPU) reported that it has completed the manual vote recapitulations of 1,092 sub-districts from the entire 7,201 in Indonesia.
KPU Commissioner Ilham Saputra announced that it is 15.16 percent vote recapitulation completeness.
“We are eyeing to manually complete the vote recap in 184 sub-districts today,” said Ilham Saputra in a written statement on Monday, April 29.

He also announced that the regencies or cities that have completed its manual vote recap constitutes 24 regions and leaves 490 regencies or cities that have yet completed their recap.
“The goal is to complete the overall district or city-level vote recapitulation by May 7,” said Ilham. The KPU will announce the complete vote recap and the result of the 2019 general elections on May 22.
Among regions across Indonesia that have completed the 2019 general elections vote recapitulation are four regencies in North Sumatra, six regencies in East Java, five regencies in Papua, two in West Papua, three regencies in Central Sulawesi, and one regency in Bali.
