BNPB Hands-over Rp2.25bn Donation for Bengkulu Flood Victims

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) handed over Rp2.25 billion ready-to-use financial aid to the Governor of Bengkulu. The fund will be allocated to regencies to help the victims of the Bengkulu flood.
According to BNPN spokesman Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, the flood has affected some 13,000 people. Twelve thousand are left displaced by the flood and landslide in nine cities/regencies in the province.

"As of the evening of April 28, our records show that 17 people have died while nine are still missing," Sutopo said in a press release, Monday, April 29.
According to Sutopo, the people affected by the disaster are in urgent need for refugee tents, rubber boats, blankets, ready-to-eat food, clean water, family kit, baby equipment, emergency lights, as well as household appliances to clean up their houses from mud.
The victims are also in need for sanitation facilities and baley bridges
