TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Grab set for a massive expansion after the company has recently obtained funding from Toyota.
Grab Indonesia executive director Ongki Kurniawan said the Japanese automotive giant has injected Grab with US$1 million or roughly Rp14 trillion.
With the fresh fund, Ongki said Grab is set to acquire "at least six companies in Southeast Asia this year". He did not say which.
Ongki told reporters in Jakarta, Thursday, that Grab also plans to add more services to its app, including health and insurance features.
"By the end of quarter two or the beginning of quarter three we can launch the healthcare service," he said.
