TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Secretary of the Jokowi – Ma'ruf Amin campaign team (TKN) Hasto Kristiyanto, invited representatives of Prabowo Subianto's campaign team (BPN) to TKN's headquarters in an attempt to promote transparency on how they calculate incoming votes in the presidential election.

The TKN vote recapitulation is based on the election's C1 official form.

"We invited five personnel, two from the BPN and three political observers which was witnessed by the media and university student representatives," said Hasto in a written statement on Thursday, April 25, 2019.

However, this invitation was followed by a challenge from Hasto who expects the BPN team to return the favor and invite TKN representatives to observe how BPN count their votes.

"So the public would know, who are claiming with pieces of evidence and who are attempting to be provocative," he said.

The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) General Secretary also revealed that the invitation was delivered in response to BPN's refusal to reveal its data collecting method, while at the same time continuously claiming that Prabowo Subianto – Sandiaga Uno had won the presidential election.

"BPN collectively does not mention where their recapitulation is done. That is why it's normal if the public considered their claims to be an act of provocation without evidence," said Hasto.
