“The conference that is held every four years decides a frequency band of a technology. We are waiting for WRC event,” said Director General of Resources and Equipment of Post and Information Technology (SDPPI), Ismail, when met in Qualcomm Forum in Jakarta, Tuesday, April 23.

The Communication and Informatics Ministry (Kominfo) planned to make use of the existing 3.5Ghz middle band frequency for satellite, and that will be consolidated to 5G network. “We will set 3.5 networks to be used in satellite, and so 5G can be utilized together,” Ismail explained.
