TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A number of survey agencies explained the quick count results that were issued right after the 2019 general elections over.

Founder of pollster KedaiKOPI Hendri Satrio said an institution takes risks when releasing the quick count to public. The result was based on the real C1 form that was input through the common method that can be tested.

"Quick count never lies and it has been proven that the result is not much different from the real count. It is nearly the same as it uses the same basis; the C1 form," Hendri said in a discussion in Menteng, Central Jakarta, Saturday, April 20.

Hendri answered the accusation made by president candidate number 02 Prabowo Subianto who said survey agencies favoring presidential hopeful Joko Widodo or Jokowi were liars and could no longer be trusted by the public.

Prabowo, therefore, requested that survey agency be moved to other continents, such as Antartica. "Hey liars, the people do not trust you. Maybe you should move to another country. Maybe you can move to Antartica," said the Gerindra chief patron at his residence in South Jakarta, Friday, April 19.

According to Hendri, it was a baseless accusation since his agency is a certified one. A researcher at pollster LSI Denny JA, Adjie Alfaraby, also shared the same opinion, saying that he was ready to quit from his job if he could not take the responsibility of the data they release.

Thus far, 12 pollsters release quick counts showing that Jokowi - Ma'ruf Amin leads the 2019 Presidential Election at around 54-55 percent.

Spokesman of Prabowo Subianto - Sandiaga Uno campaign team, Pipin Sopian, said that the quick count result was not the end. "The election is not over yet. Let's respect all elements [in the elections]; the organizer and the volunteers who are still working," he said.

Spokesman of Jokowi - Ma'ruf campaign team Masinton Pasaribu also agree with it but he said that the quick count result has never been wrong; it's nearly the same as real count result or recapitulation issued by KPU.

"But we still respect the election process. We're still waiting for the final result from KPU and maintain the conducive situation until the recapitulation is over," said Masinton Pasaribu.
