PAN Politician: Mobilize Masses if Prabowo Loses Pres. Election

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - National Mandate Party (PAN) legislative candidate Eggi Sujana expressed his optimism for PAN-backed presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto in the presidential election.
However, he warned that the opposition party will dig into possible elections fraud if Prabowo loses.
“We will look for the findings of possible fouls. We must not be hasty, emotional, and we must preserve the country’s unity,” said Eggi at the Al-Falaah mosque to journalists present at the mass-prayer dubbed “subuh akbar” earlier this morning.

In a case where any sort of elections fraud is discovered, he says that he will adhere to PAN’s senior and founder Amien Rais call to mobilize the masses in what they call “people power.”
Eggi also expressed his distrust toward the country’s Constitutional Court (MK) ever since Prabowo’s loss in the 2014 presidential election.
“Pak Amien agreed not to go to the MK but through people power. The jurisprudence is legitimate. The fall of Soeharto was also through people power,” Eggi noted.
His statement corresponds to Amien Rais’ call for the past weeks on mobilizing people if there are any indications of elections fraud that causes Prabowo to lose the presidential election.
