TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Presidential hopeful number 02 Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to campaign with the head of Democrat Party's joint command, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono or AHY, on Thursday, March 28, in Bandung, West Java. This will be the first Prabowo shares a stage with the party executive during the 2019 presidential election.

The Prabowo - Sandiaga campaign team spokesman, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, said there was no particular reason that the duo is held in Bandung city, but simply because of time management.

“No special reason. Because the time is right, matches, so [it will be held] in Bandung,” Dahnil told Tempo on Wednesday evening, March 27.

The public campaign will take place in Sidolig Stadium on Jalan Ahmad Yani, West Java, starting 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. local times. Based on Tempo’s study, the place is the headquarter of Bandung football club, Persib.

Prior to the agenda, Prabowo had already campaigned in five provinces, viz. Manado in North Sulawesi, Makassar in South Sulawesi, Merauke in Papua, Bali, and West Nusa Tenggara.

Meanwhile, AHY had joined public campaigns in several regions that the latest was on March 24, in GOR Ciracas, East Jakarta. The oldest son of Democrat Party chairman Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono continued his campaign tour to Bangkalan, Madura, and Surabaya in East Java.

During his initial public campaign, AHY neither mentioned nor promoted the presidential candidate pair Prabowo - Sandiaga whom his party supports to in the 2019 presidential election, saying there would be certain time for the matter.
