TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jokowi-Ma’ruf Amin head advisor and current Vice President Jusuf Kalla reminded the incumbent presidential candidate to avoid making any wrong moves or that can be considered mistakes in the wake of the 2019 presidential election.
“Politics is like playing badminton. Points are created through a smash that went in or when the enemy makes a mistake,” said Kalla at the Vice Presidential Office on Tuesday, March 26.
The vice president advised Jokowi to use the remaining three weeks to show people-friendly programs that side with the majority of the public.
Jusuf Kalla also mentioned Jokowi’s electability goal compared to the opposition's electability according to political pollsters which suggest Jokowi is still running behind his personal target of 58-62 percent.
“Nothing is impossible. Anything can happen in a democratic election, but it surely has to be followed with persistent efforts,” said VP Kalla.
