TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-run Bank Mandiri assures that it will partner with two known e-commerce; Tokopedia and Bukalapak to introduce digital loan services capped at Rp500 million.
Bank Mandiri small businesses and networking Director Hery Gunardi said that the service will be available publically in 2019.
“We are developing the bank’s app program with the e-commerce. We will finalize it once it’s done so it can act as a facility to decide a loan,” said Hery in Perbanas Institute’s 50th Dies Natalis on Wednesday, February 27.
He said that the maximum amount of digital loans could possibly be increased next year which will heavily depend on the customer’s requests after one year use. Meanwhile, the role of the two e-commerce will help Mandiri inspect the track records of potential clients filing for a loan.
This is hoped to boost Mandiri’s credit loan program users which will effectively help the growth of the industry.
