Gov't: Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Salman Delays Visit to Indonesia

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, also known as MBS, reportedly postponed his work visit to Indonesia, as officially stated by the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Saturday morning, Feb. 16.
“[The Saudi Crown Prince] postponed [the visit], not canceled [it],” said Desra Percaya, the ministry’s director-general of Asia-Pacific and Africa to Tempo, Saturday, February 16.

Desra did not explain the reason behind the act. Indonesian ambassador to Saudi Arabia Agus Maftuh Abegebriel also shared the same gesture. Besides Indonesia, Mohammed bin Salman also reportedly put off his visit to Malaysia.
Previously, the crown prince was scheduled to arrive in Jakarta on February 18 and continued his foreign visit to other Asian countries on the next day. Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Salman also delayed his visit to Pakistan for a day to February 17-18.
