TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The political communication director of the Jokowi-Ma’ruf Amin National Campaign Team (TKN), Usman Kansong, said the team had prepared a string of attacks for the second presidential debate on February 17, 2019.

Among them, he said, was related to the Prabowo camp’s visions and missions on energy, which he deemed too idealist.

“We noticed some of their weaknesses, their visions on energy are too idealist, which were impossible to implement,” said Usman on Monday, February 11.

Usman, however, stopped short of pinpointing the weaknesses and instead said the attacks would be carried out by highlighting Jokowi’s aptitudes and work results.

He added the attacks would be concentrated on the Prabowo camp’s visions and missions as the rival camp was bereft of any past project. He explained he had also spotted other weaknesses, including on the issues of food and environment.

“They are also weak in environmental issues. Henry Saragih is involved, he is the chief of the Indonesian Farmers Union, so he is familiar with food issues. “

The second presidential debate is set to be aired live across a number of national television broadcasters on February 17, 2019, from Hotel Sultan in Jakarta. The debate will focus on natural resources, food and energy, environment, and infrastructure.
