TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Vice presidential candidate Sandiaga Uno pledged to revise Law of Electronic Information and Transaction (ITE Law) should he and Prabowo Subianto winning the 2019 Election.

“Such vague articles have entered a grey area, and it’s prone to be interpreted and used for legal proceedings to attack opponents and help companion,” said Sandiaga after visiting Ahmad Dhani in Cipinang Prison, Thursday, January 31.

Sandiaga said that the policy revision would be the main priority in his program with Prabowo Subianto, and hoped there would be no more catch-all articles that prompted an unfair law. “That [vague articles] presents a sense of injustice to society," he underlined.

Sandiaga Uno visited the legislative candidate from Gerindra party who was found guilty in a hate speech case and sentenced for a year and six months behind bars.
