TEMPO.CO, Majalengka - Subsidiary of state-owned train manufacturer INKA, Inka Multi Solusi Trading, in tandem with Wika Beton and Pindad began its first export on railway ties to the Philippines.

“We deliver railway ties to Manila, the Philippines, to supply their needs on infrastructure,” said president director of PT Inka Multi Solusi Trading I Gede Agus Prayatna in Majalengka, West Java, Tuesday, January 22.

Prayatna said that the delivery was the first railroad ties export produced by the three SOEs, and hopefully, it would trigger other projects. According to him, the goods would be used for the construction of 300-meter rail track.

Therefore, he continued that a synergy between SOEs was required in an effort to promote Indonesian products abroad and compete with others.

Meanwhile, the marketing officer of Wika Beton, Kunjara, said that his side would support the export by increasing its concrete production. “We will collaborate and support [export] by improving our quality product,” he noted.
