TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Presidential chief of staff Moeldoko maintained that the Indonesian government will not tolerate the terror group East Indonesia Mujahidin (MIT) that is known to be led by Ali Kalora.
"There are no tolerance. The state is tasked to create a sense of security and if there are disturbances, we must abolish it," Moledoko said at the Presidential Palace Complex on Thursday, January 3, 2019.
According to Moeldoko, the Indonesian National Police Chief Gen. Tito Karnavian will take tactical steps upon facing the terrorist group, similar to what is taking place currently at Poso District under 'Special Operation Tinombala'.
"The terrain consists of rows of mountainous areas, which made it difficult for the police force. At the time we mobilized the army [TNI] because that is within their area of operations," said Moeldoko.
The East Indonesia Mujahidin (MIT) terror group gained public attention at Salubose Village in Parigi Moutong after the group allegedly mutilated a local gold miner with his head and body that was discovered in separate locations along the mountainous terrain.
