Prabowo Subianto Set to Gather Coalition Party Leaders Tonight

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Gerindra’s Jakarta executive board (DPD) M. Taufik said that leaders of the four political parties in the Prabowo Subianto party coalition is set to gather tonight. The meeting is said to discuss the deal between members regarding the 2019 presidential election.
“A number of party chairman members will meet and discuss upon what the coalition has agreed upon,” said Taufik on Tuesday, August 6.

The meeting Taufik refers to is the meeting between Gerindra Chairman Prabowo Subianto, Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) chairman Sohibul Iman, National Mandate Party (PAN) chairman Zulkifli Hasan, and Democratic Party chairman Zulkifli Hasan.
The meeting itself will discuss many deals which will include the discussion of who will be Prabowo’s running mate in the upcoming presidential election. The coalition must produce a unified agreement before the General Elections Commission (KPU) will be closed on Friday, August 10.
