TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The brawl that occurred in a number of `Sahur On The Road` or SOTR events made the police react.

“Since the beginning of 2018 Ramadan, we do not justify SOTR activities,” said Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Police Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono today, Monday, June 4, at Jakarta Metro Police HQ.

Argo asserted that the police would take action and dissolve the SOTR activities from any group if it is proven to be the criminal offense.

“Moreover, there were sharp weapons used in the brawl,” said Argo.

Central Jakarta Resort Police arrested two brawlers during the Sahur On The Road activity near Transjakarta stop on Jalan Merdeka Barat, Central Jakarta, yesterday morning, Sunday, June 3.

According to the Central Jakarta Resort Police Chief Commissioner Roma Hutajulu, both carried sharp weapons when brawling.

The brawl occurred in some places. In the uploaded post by @TMCPoldaMetro on June 3, it was written, the SOTR brawlers were on Jalan Mataram, South Jakarta.

On the same day, there was also a brawl between SOTR participants around Dukuh Atas, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman at 04:10 am and in front of FX Sudirman Mall at 03:14 am.

“Later, we will see the legal facts (brawl in Sahur On The Road event) like what, how, and then what is the article,” said Argo.
