Comedian Gogon Srimulat Passes Away at 58

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - An Indonesian comedian Gogon Margono from the comedy group Srimulat has passed away at the age of 58 when he was taken to a hospital in Lampung on Tuesday morning, May 15.

“He died at 05:15 am on the way to the hospital,” said Ari, the deceased’s son to Tabloidbintang.com today.

Gogon was scheduled in Lampung for a campaign event of the regional head candidate. After several hours on stage, his condition was declined and he took his last breath on the way to get medical treatment.

“His visit here [Lampung] was for a show,” Ari added.

Gogon Margono is slated to be flown to Solo at around 10:00 local times today morning.
