Garuda Indonesia Online Travel Fair Held on November 21 to 30

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Garuda Indonesia Online Travel Fair (GOTF) is held on November 21-30. Ticket purchase on November 21-23 only applies to First and Business Classes, whereas tickets for all classes are available on November 24-30.

“The world’s tourism trend has shifted to digital platforms because they are cheaper, faster and more personal. Data shows that 70 percent of search and share are done through digital media,” Tourism Ministry official Judi Rifajantoro stated in a press release. “It’s a challenge for tourism industry players to meet the need.”
He said that tourism expo is one of the solutions to meet consumers’ demand in the digital era.
Nina Sulistyowati, Garuda Indonesia Marketing & IT Director, said that digital transactions are on the rise so that the company will be focusing on the market share through digital ticket sales.
“Garuda Indonesia is targeting revenue of Rp175 billion, 2 million visits to the website and 50,000 new downloaders of Garuda Indonesia mobile app,” she said.
Flag carrier Garuda Indonesia had earlier held GOTF phase 1 on March and April, raising Rp162 billion in sales, 1.7 million visits to its website and 32,000 new downloaders of Garuda Indonesia mobile app. The second phase was held in August with Rp173 billion sales and almost 2 million visits to the website as well as over 50,000 new downloaders of its mobile app.
