TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Those wanting to enjoy the regional election public holiday today may as well take a walk or eat some food at shopping malls after casting their votes. Vendors and restaurants have made special offers on the election day.
A restaurant in Lippo Mall Puri, West Jakarta, called Piring Emas offers up to 100% cash back for a maximum transaction of Rp300,000. Patrons may only need to show their ink-laced pinky indicating that a vote has been cast. The vouchers are applicable until March 15.
Another restaurant called Ta Wan, which can be found in large malls, also has special offers. Those who have cast vote may enjoy three main menus free of charge: Ta Wan Fried Chicken, Tausi Snapper, and Mongolian Beef, for a minimum transaction of Rp250,000 effective from 10 am to 3 pm.
Pantai Indah Kapuk’s Waterboom in North Jakarta also offers voters Rp60,000 special ticket price, a discount from the normal price of Rp170,000 for an adult ticket on regular days and Rp270,000 on weekends and holidays.
