TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Creative Economic Agency (Bekraf) has formed a special task force to help counter piracy on the creative products. The task force will help creative economy producers when they report about their stolen creation.
Head of the task force, Ari Juliana Gema, said that piracy is a common issue in Indonesia. "Without them filing a report, the law enforcement cannot take action," he said.
Ari added that the task force will help bridge creative economy producers and the law enforcement. The task force itself is divided into three groups, namely complaints, monitoring, and education. They will target not only the producers, but also the general public.
"They will provide suggestions and advices," he said. "We expect to give a harsher punishment."
