TEMPO.CO, Yogyakarta - The Indonesian Young Enterpreneurs Association (Hipmi) Yogyakarta has encouraged people to start business without initial capital.
“We can now start business without large capital. The people must be bold enough to start business with no capital,” said Creative Economy, Health and Telecommunication Compartment head of Hipmi Yogyakarta, Ferry Irawan said Monday, September 26, in Yogyakarta.
He pointed out examples such as @jogjaupdate twitter account, which is now able to generate Rp5 million to Rp10 million monthly.
According to him, the twitter account provides the latest information on Yogyakarta.
The administrators of the account reap the fruits of their creativity. Therefore, Hipmi has urged and encouraged people to start business with no money.
The most important thing to start a business is willingness and creativity to turn potential buyers into customers.
Ferry added starting a new business with no capital can also be done by using online media, social media and other technological advances.
Moreover, businesses that fail to adapat to technological advances will lose market share. For example, clothing stores have been left behind by online stores as buyers are inclined to shop online for practical reasons, he said.
In addition, Ferry said Hipmi will hold several events to inspire people to start new business.
Hipmi will assist potential young entrepeneurs to start online businesses according to their own passion. It will also hold weekly meetups to reach more potential young enterpreneurs in Yogyakarta, Ferry said.
